1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website can store in your browser, for example to remember your preferences, measure traffic or show you ads. Similar technologies include the browser's local storage (localStorage), pixels and other tracking tools.
2. Which cookies this website uses
None. The BMS Automation website does not set any cookies, not even technical ones. It stores a single, strictly necessary item in your browser's local storage (localStorage):
bms-privacy-notice: the date you clicked “Got it” in the privacy notice, so we do not show it to you on every visit. It contains no information about you, is never sent to the server and is valid for 6 months, after which the notice appears again.
Specifically, we do not use:
- traffic analytics tools (such as Google Analytics);
- social media pixels or plugins (Facebook, LinkedIn etc.);
- advertising or remarketing;
- external services loaded into the page, such as reCAPTCHA;
- content loaded from other servers that could set its own cookies (maps, videos, external fonts). Fonts are hosted on our own server, so your visit is not shared with Google Fonts or any other service.
3. Why we do not ask for your consent
Under Romanian Law no. 506/2004 (Art. 4(5)), which implements the EU ePrivacy Directive, and the GDPR, consent is only required for storing or accessing information on your device when this is not strictly necessary. The only item the website stores is strictly necessary to remember a choice you made (closing the notice), so it does not require consent. This is why the notice on the website is information only, with no accept or reject options.
Like any web server, our hosting server does record technical data about visits (such as your IP address). This is not a cookie and is described in our Privacy policy (GDPR).
4. Links to other websites
When you open our Facebook or LinkedIn pages, you leave our website. Those platforms may use their own cookies, according to their policies.
5. How to control cookies
Every browser lets you view, block or delete cookies and site data from its privacy settings. If you delete this website's data, the privacy notice will appear again on your next visit.
6. Changes
